The President and Vice-President of IPDAL were present at the II Algarve Business Forum, organized by LIDE Portugal. On the weekend of October 4th to 6th, IPDAL directors, accompanied by one of the Board’s advisors, attended conferences and debates on business prospects in Portugal and Portuguese companies with Europe, Latin America and Africa . IPDAL co-organized a meeting of Portuguese businesspeople with the President of the Republic of Panama. The meeting was attended by more than 100 businesspeople and took place at the Hotel Lapa Palace, in Lisbon, on the 30th of July. President Martinelli made an initial speech about Panama and then answered questions from businesspeople present. At the opening of the work, the Ambassador of Panama in Lisbon highlighted the importance of IPDAL in relations between Portugal and Panama.

The Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America once again had a full house at the Sky Bar, at the Tivoli Lisboa Hotel, with its Friends and Partners. On July 17, 2013, IPDAL and Hotel Tivoli brought together businesspeople, politicians, current and former government officials of Portugal, journalists and academics at the II Latin American Sunset Party. The President of IPDAL met, in Lisbon, with the President of the Latin American Business Council (CEAL). Paulo Neves and Samuel Cantoral decided to sign a Protocol of Understanding between the two institutions. The President of CEAL invited IPDAL to be present at the next summit of Latin American businesspeople that will take place in October in Panama City. CEAL brings together the main Latin American companies in the most diverse business areas. The meeting between CEAL and IPDAL took place on the 16th of July.
