IPDAL was the guest of honor at two business forums organized in the Paraguayan cities of Encarnación and Ciudad del Este. The National University of Itapúa called on the Mayor of Encarnación and the region’s main businesspeople to get to know Portuguese companies and explore new business opportunities. Portuguese companies presented themselves to the auditorium and met future partners and customers, having established important contacts for the implementation of their businesses. The same format was applied in Ciudad del Este, with the Department of Commerce and Tourism of the Central Government convening the main businesspeople in the region.

The Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America (IPDAL) was invited by TAP Portugal to organize a seminar on Latin America for 150 company staff. The President of IPDAL was invited to give a lecture on the current political and economic scenario in Latin America. IPDAL also invited the Ambassadors of Colombia, Panama and Peru to make presentations about their countries and the opportunities that TAP’s new routes will open for Portugal. The President of IPDAL, Paulo Neves, participated in the dinner in honor of the Secretary General of SEGIB, which took place at Casa das Américas, in Madrid, on March 4th. Enrique Iglesias was honored by the Diplomatic Corps and the biggest Spanish businessmen and bankers. Enrique Iglesias ends his term as General Secretary of SEGIB this month.
