IPDAL took the Latin American Ambassadors to an executive lunch and visit to the Levira factory, part of the Prébuild Group. At the premises of the most important Portuguese office furniture brand, the delegation attended a presentation by the Prébuild Group and learned about the numbers and internationalization model of its companies. Prébuild administrators and representatives from Levira Portugal and Spain were present. After lunch, there was a visit to the factory where Levira products are produced and designed.

IPDAL took a group of Ambassadors from Latin America and Europe to the most prestigious fashion event in Portugal. On March 27th, at Alfândega do Porto, the delegation was able to watch the fashion shows of the most renowned national designers and was accompanied by the directors of the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association (ATP), National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), Porto Fashion Week and Associação Selectiva Moda. The President and Secretary General of IPDAL met with the Ambassador of Guatemala to Portugal, Marco Chica. The diplomat, who delivered letters of credentials to the President of the Republic of Portugal on March 21, 2014, lives in Paris and is a competitor in Lisbon. The meeting took place on March 19. IPDAL leaders presented the Institute’s activities and have already committed to carrying out business, cultural and academic promotion initiatives in Guatemala in Lisbon. SEGIB considered the conference organized by IPDAL in the Portuguese Parliament to be unprecedented and assured that the Ibero-American General Secretariat itself would like to reproduce the format in other countries. The President of IPDAL was invited by Spain’s main news agency to talk about the Institute’s activities. Following the IPDAL initiative in the Assembly of the Republic, Paulo Neves explained that the Institute’s mission is to promote Latin America and strengthen relations between Portugal and the region. IPDAL was responsible for holding the last class of the Course “Diplomacy in Latin America”, a co-organization with the Political Observatory and the Casa da América Latina. The invited Professor was the President of IPDAL himself, who spoke as a trainer and not as a director of the Institute. The Secretary of State for Tourism opened the VI Tourism Forum organized by IPDAL, in partnership with the newspaper Publituris and Travelport. This document was sent to diplomatic representatives from Latin America and other markets with potential to invest in our country. The Ambassadors have already found this document to be of great use for their work. The President of IPDAL was interviewed by several media outlets in Paraguay. During the Institute’s recent business mission to Paraguay, between 15 and 23 February, several written, radio and television media interviewed Paulo Neves. Due to the high level of institutional and business contacts maintained, Paraguayan journalists wanted to learn more about IPDAL’s activities and the business expectations of Portuguese businesspeople in the country. The Paraguayan media gave great attention to IPDAL’s business mission in the three cities visited: Asunción, Encarnación and Ciudad del Este.
During the recent business mission to Paraguay, the delegation led by IPDAL was received by the Governors of Itapúa and Alto Paraná.
