The President of IPDAL was invited by Spain’s main news agency to talk about the Institute’s activities.
Following the IPDAL initiative in the Assembly of the Republic, Paulo Neves explained that the Institute’s mission is to promote Latin America and strengthen relations between Portugal and the region.

The leader highlighted the importance of the transition, over the years, from practically restricted Portuguese cooperation with Brazil, to a multilateral relationship with the various Latin American countries. Paulo Neves highlighted the fact that, in the last four years, exports to the entire region have doubled and now represent 4% of the annual total.
The President of IPDAL also defended a reinforcement of Iberian cooperation in deepening synergies in the region but warns that it is incorrect to consider Portugal and Spain as “bridges” between Latin America and Europe.
