IPDAL distinguishes ambassador from Peru

The Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America presented the IPDAL – Vista Alegre Prize to the Ambassador of Peru, Nestor Popolizio. The tribute took place at the Grémio Literário Library, in Lisbon, and was attended by several Ambassadors and Diplomats, Businessmen, Politicians , Friends and Members of IPDAL.

Ambassador Nestor Popolizio headed the Peruvian Diplomatic Mission in Portugal for the last year and a half, now heading to Bogotá, Colombia, where he will once again serve as Ambassador.

In a brief intervention, the President of IPDAL praised the role of Ambassador Nestor Popolizio as a diplomat and Friend, highlighting the visit of the President of the Portuguese Republic to Peru and that of President Ollanta Humala to Portugal.

Ambassador Nestor Popolizio considered the role that IPDAL plays in relations between Portugal and Latin America to be decisive, guaranteeing that the Institute is a platform of great importance for Latin American embassies in Portugal and that it even contributes in an exemplary way to a greater rapprochement between the Ambassadors themselves.
