The Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America distinguished the Ambassador of Ecuador, Diego Aulestia, with the IPDAL – Vista Alegre Award. On October 22, 2013, the President of IPDAL dedicated words of recognition and praise to the Ambassador who returns to Quito to join the team of the President of the Republic of Ecuador.
The IPDAL-Vista Alegre award distinguishes individuals and institutions that, in a more notable way, promoted Latin America in Portugal and supported IPDAL in the development of its activities. It also serves to honor Ambassadors from Latin America who have carried out notable work. Ambassador Antonio Rivas Palacios, former Chargé d’Affaires of Paraguay in Portugal; Ambassador Jorge Faurie, former Argentine Ambassador to Portugal; Ambassador Nestor Popolizio, former Ambassador of Peru to Portugal; Ambassador Eduardo González, former Cuban ambassador to Portugal, D. Enrique Iglesias, Ibero-American Secretary General; Luís Amado, former Minister of Foreign Affairs; Fernando Santo, current Secretary of State for Patrimonial Administration of the Ministry of Justice, among several others.
The ceremony took place at the Grémio Literário and was attended by Ambassadors from Latin America, Europe and Asia, Friends and guests of the Institute.
