IPDAL was invited to be present at the «Atlantic Dialogues» conference cycle by the Moroccan think tank Policy Center for the New South. The President of IPDAL was a speaker at a dinner debate, where he defended the need to create and implement an agenda of common interests between Europe and Africa. IPDAL was invited by the International Relations Student Center of the University of Évora (NERIUE) to participate in the first edition of the conference cycle Creating the New Generations of International Relations (CNGIR). The Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs, who only this year participated twice in IPDAL initiatives, will be the next Ibero-American Secretary General. The President of IPDAL was in Uruguay, having also visited Argentina and Chile, in a week that saw him represent the Institute in several initiatives. IPDAL was once again present at the Diplomatic Bazaar, having received a visit from the President of the Republic, who received an original book from the Institute on the gastronomic history of Latin America. The Institute’s stand featured several typical products from the region, with particular emphasis on El Salvador, selling handicrafts, textiles, books and various other items. On November 4th, the Portugal – Latin America and Caribbean Conference “Together for sustainable development”, by CAF – Development Bank of Latin America, took place at the Thalia Theater, which had the support of IPDAL in the organization. The President of the Institute, Paulo Neves, received the insignia of the Order of Rio Branco, in the rank of Grand Officer, at a lunch hosted by the Ambassador of Brazil, Raimundo Carreiro.
