The President of IPDAL signed in New York, where he is located, the Book of Condolences for the death of the monarch, highlighting the Sovereign’s “enormous sense of State and dedication” throughout 70 years of Reign. IPDAL organized a lunch with the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Professor Doctor Augusto Santos Silva, and the group of Latin American ambassadors residing in Portugal. The second figure of the Portuguese State thus had the opportunity to speak closely with members of the Latin American diplomatic corps, taking the opportunity to offer his practical experience as a former Minister of Foreign Affairs and highlighting the importance of the region for Portuguese parliamentary democracy.
