VIII LATIN AMERICA MEETING - CPLP

The eighth meeting of the only platform in the world for contact between Latin America and Portuguese-speaking countries brought together SEGIB with the CPLP and the ambassadors and representatives of the various Latin American and African countries.

This edition was dedicated to sustainable economic cooperation and was attended by the Executive Secretary of the CPLP, Zacarias da Costa, and the Deputy Secretary of SEGIB, Marcos Pinta Gama.

Following the objective defined by the Institute of bringing the two blocs closer together, a report authored by IPDAL was presented on the general state of trade relations between Latin America and the CPLP countries, indicating the main areas of current cooperation.

Ambassadors from both blocks made interventions in the open space for discussion, as well as representatives from international organizations and the private sector. Everyone highlighted the role played by the Institute in bringing Latin America closer to the CPLP, highlighting the mutually beneficial potential of this partnership.

This eighth annual meeting was supported by CPLP, Caixa Geral de Depósitos and SEGIB.
