For two days, the Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America (IPDAL) carried out several initiatives to promote Honduras, in Lisbon. With the support of the Embassy of Honduras accredited in Lisbon, academic, business, institutional and cultural meetings were held. Ambassador José Ignacio Korzeniak, Ambassador of Uruguay in Lisbon, was decorated by the Government of Mexico with the Order of the Aztec Eagle. On October 1st, the Ambassador of Mexico, Benito Andión, distinguished his Uruguayan counterpart with the highest decoration given to foreigners by Mexico, in a ceremony attended by the President of IPDAL, Paulo Neves. The Order of the Aztec Eagle was created in 1932 by President Abelardo Rodríguez Luhán, as an award for humanitarian services. The Vice-President and Secretary-General of IPDAL were invited to the first regular flight, by SATA Air Açores, between Lisbon and Salvador da Bahía, in Brazil. The President and Secretary General of IPDAL were received by the Director General of Foreign Policy and the Director of Services for the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At Palácio das Necessidades, in Lisbon, Paulo Neves and Filipe Domingues had the opportunity to present the mission and portfolio of the Institute. An IPDAL delegation was received, this Friday, by Minister Paulo Portas. The President, the General Secretary and a member of the IPDAL Board presented to the Minister of State and Foreign Affairs the calendar of IPDAL’s next initiatives and the IPDAL strategy Institute for the coming months.
