IPDAL was chosen as the research topic for a final master’s thesis in Political Science and International Relations, at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The President of IPDAL gave a Conference at the University of Alcalá, in Madrid, on January 21st. The theme of the Conference was “Europe/Latin America Relations: after the economic crisis”. The director of CAF, Maria Lahore, and the Director of the Spanish government for Latin America and the Caribbean participated in the same panel. The Conference was part of the Winter School organized by Sciences Po.
The President and Secretary General of IPDAL paid tribute to the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in France. The Institute’s leaders added their voices to those of the members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Portugal who went to the French Embassy to assure their solidarity with the French people. The President and Secretary General of the Institute signed the book of condolences, expressing their dismay but also their support for the construction of a more stable, secure democratic society where all rights and freedoms are respected.
