The President of IPDAL was received, in Montevideo, by the Presidents of the main Municipal Chambers of Uruguay. The Head of the Portuguese Mission in Montevideo, António Alves de Carvalho, participated in the meeting. The President of the Congress of Intendants of Uruguay, Artigas Barrios, highlighted the importance of the Business Mission organized by IPDAL to Uruguay, stating that “many of the Intendency projects can and should be carried out by Portuguese companies”. The President of IPDAL also highlighted the “excellence of Portuguese companies” in the areas of construction, IT, renewable energy, sanitation, etc. Uruguay has 19 Intendants.

IPDAL dedicated a reception to the participants, organizers and guests of the “IV Jornadas de Linguística Hispânica”, organized by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. The President and General Secretary of IPDAL participated in the Council of Patrons and Sponsoring Institutions of the Ibero-American Business Foundation (FIE). On March 16th, in Madrid, representatives of the Institute met with the directors of the foundation that groups together the most important companies in Ibero America. IPDAL took the Latin American Ambassadors on an official visit to the Minho region. The agenda was attended by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Luís Campos Ferreira participated in a meeting promoted jointly with the Mayor of Viana do Castelo, the main mayors of Alto Minho and the largest companies in the region.
