IPDAL took the Latin American Ambassadors on an official visit to the Minho region. The agenda was attended by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

Luís Campos Ferreira participated in a meeting promoted jointly with the Mayor of Viana do Castelo, the main mayors of Alto Minho and the largest companies in the region. Afterwards, the Secretary of State also accompanied the IPDAL delegation to a lunch in Viana. Between March 7th and 10th, diplomatic representatives visited the cities of Braga, Viana do Castelo and Guimarães. Institutional contacts were maintained with all Mayors.

From a business point of view, the Iberian International Nanotechnology Laboratory (NIL) was visited, a business forum was held, in partnership with AI Minho and Caixa Geral de Depósitos, and the Enercon factory was also visited. The Institute thus continues to bring Latin American ambassadors closer to the Portuguese local reality – business, cultural, tourism, heritage and institutional – and to support regional agents in developing their internationalization strategies. It is worth remembering that the organization of these visits across the country is an original IPDAL initiative, carried out since 2006.
