IPDAL invited a group of deputies to the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal for a private meeting with the head of the Ibero-American General Secretariat.
On April 17th, representatives from the parliamentary group of the Social Democratic Party were present – Feliciano Barreiras Duarte, Hugo Velosa, Ricardo Baptista Leite and Ulisses Pereira – from the Socialist Party – Maria de Belém and Paulo Pisco – from the Popular Party – José Ribeiro e Castro – and also MEP Francisco Assis from the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.
It was an opportunity to bring Portuguese parliamentarians closer to the activities, philosophy and mission of SEGIB. Rebeca Grynspan reiterated the importance of Portugal for the Ibero-American integration strategy.
The Secretary General of SEGIB traveled to Portugal at the invitation of IPDAL, to participate in the IV Meeting “Strategic Triangle: Latin America – Europe – Africa”.
