“Latin America in 2012: Challenges and Opportunities” was the theme chosen by IPDAL for a talk at the conference “Export and Internationalize: Latin America” promoted by Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Jornal de Negócios, on December 13th, at the University from Aveiro. IPDAL gave its support to an initiative by LIDE, which is a Brazilian business association present in Lisbon. It is the most prestigious association of businesspeople in Brazil and is also represented in Chile, Argentina, Italy, South Africa and Angola. In Lisbon, LIDE organized an initiative with the Argentine embassy on “Sports Leadership vs Business Leadership”. Another Business Forum organized by IPDAL took place in Lisbon, on October 11th, to promote relations between Portugal and Latin America. The forum was dedicated to ceramics and construction companies. The largest Portuguese companies in the sector participated. Latin American embassies in Portugal also participated. The Ambassador of Uruguay to Portugal, José Ignácio Korzeniak, organized a public ceremony in Lisbon to celebrate Uruguay’s National Day.
