The Ambassador of Uruguay to Portugal, José Ignácio Korzeniak, organized a public ceremony in Lisbon to celebrate Uruguay’s National Day. The ceremony took place in a square on Avenida do Uruguai, in Lisbon, on the 18th of July. A bust of one of the most illustrious fathers of Uruguayan independence was unveiled. The Diplomatic Corps, members of various Portuguese institutions and the Uruguayan community in Portugal were present. IPDAL was represented by its President, Paulo Neves, and another member of the board, Filipe Domingues. The ceremony took place in a plaza on Avenida de Uruguay, in Lisbon, last July 18th. The bust of one of the most illustrious fathers of Uruguayan independence was inaugurated. The Diplomatic Body was present, members of several Portuguese institutions and the Uruguayan community in Portugal.
