In two days, the President and Secretary General of IPDAL had 12 working meetings. The Institute’s directors maintained contacts with the most relevant institutions and companies, public and private, Latin American and Spanish, based in Madrid. On the 21st and 22nd of November, Paulo Neves and Filipe Domingues were received by financial, academic and cultural institutions, think tanks, foundations, companies, international and diplomatic organizations, as well as by relevant individuals in the Ibero-American dynamics. The IPDAL stand at the Diplomatic Bazaar broke all records. Of the three consecutive years that the Institute has participated in the Diplomatic Bazaar, this was the one in which the most revenue was obtained and the most visitors were received. Cuba, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Uruguay and Honduras were the countries represented at the IPDAL stand. Handicrafts, paintings, typical drinks, empanadas, alfajores, among other traditional products from these countries, were sold. The Institute was approved as a Consultative Observer member of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP). The status was officially granted to IPDAL during the XI Conference of Heads of State and Government of the CPLP, which took place on October 31st and November 1st, 2016, in Brasília.
