On January 14th, a dinner was hosted at the Hotel Altis by the Cuban Ambassador to Portuguese and Cuban personalities to mark Cuba’s presence on the Lisbon Tourism Board. The President of IPDAL offered a working lunch, at D. Pedro Palace, to the new Ambassador of Paraguay in Portugal, Dr. Luis António Fretes Carreiras. At the meeting, a survey was made of the areas of work that are the major focus of the new – and first – Ambassador of Paraguay in Portugal. The Embassy of Paraguay has always maintained a strong connection and collaboration with IPDAL. The President of IPDAL has already officially visited Paraguay at the invitation of the local government in 2008. On that occasion he was received by President Fernando Lugo.
