António Pires de Lima was present at the event organized by IPDAL and Caixa-Geral de Depósitos and visited the stands set up by Latin American embassies for business contacts.

On July 10th, the biggest initiative to promote Latin America of the year took place in Portugal. Around 300 companies accepted the invitation from the Institute and the country’s largest bank to participate in the Grande Empresarial Forum IPDAL – CGD. In the foyer of Culturgest, in an authentic business fair environment, the diplomatic representations of Latin America set up stands with information, documents, videos, typical products and decorative material from their respective countries, to interact with Portuguese businesspeople.
In the Culturgest Grand Auditorium, the ambassadors participated in a round table, where the President of IPDAL asked specific questions about business opportunities in the various countries.
The Minister of Economy of Portugal spoke during the proceedings, highlighting the importance of Latin America for the internationalization of national companies and the role of IPDAL in supporting this process. The same message of confidence in the Institute’s work was corroborated by AICEP’s Executive Administrator, Pedro Ortigão Correia.
António Pires de Lima also dedicated personalized visits to each of the Latin American countries’ stands, having spoken to the various ambassadors and diplomats.
