IPDAL publicly presented and delivered to the Government the report “How Can Latin America Represent 5% of Portuguese Exports?”
The document is the result of a focus group , constituted by IPDAL, with some of the greatest Portuguese experts and with the participation of names such as Augusto Mateus, former Minister of Economy, Francisco Murteira Nabo, former Minister of Public Works and President of the Luso-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Leonardo Mathias, former -Secretary of State for the Economy, or Bernardo Ivo Cruz, former Deputy Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and administrator of SOFID. Some of the largest Portuguese companies also participated, such as Galp and Sugal, diplomats, and directors of associations that bring together the largest national exporters, such as ATP and AIMMAP.
The report “How Can Latin America Represent 5% of Portuguese Exports?” contains a series of public policy recommendations, concrete proposals for company action and diagnoses on the current moment of internationalization of the national economy.
The document was presented at the II Forum Portugal – Latin America and the Caribbean, where the Secretary of State for Internationalization, Eurico Brilhante Dias, and the President of AICEP, Luís de Castro Henriques, were present. The Director of Mota-Engil, Ismael Gaspar, large companies, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, business associations and confederations, chambers of commerce, as well as ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from Latin American countries also participated.
The initiative took place at the European University, on December 11, 2018, with the support of BBVA.
