X Latin America Meeting – CPLP

The Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDAL), in partnership with the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) and the CPLP Business Confederation (CE-CPLP), organized the 10th Latin America Meeting – CPLP on April 10, 2025, in Lisbon.

The initiative brought together institutional, diplomatic and business representatives to discuss the strengthening of relations between Latin America and the CPLP countries, in a moment of reflection and projection of new cooperation strategies.

The opening session included interventions by Dr. Zacarias da Costa, Executive Secretary of CPLP, Paulo Neves, President of IPDAL, Nelma Fernandes, President of CE-CPLP, Professor Doctor Nuno Sampaio, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (SENEC), and Dr. Armando Santos, Central Director of the Corporate and Institutional Marketing Directorate of Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD).

The program also included speeches by ambassadors and guests, with the closing speech by José Cláudio Klein, Secretary of Planning of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), the institution that supported the event.

This meeting stood out as yet another strategic initiative by IPDAL in building bridges between the Ibero-American and Portuguese-speaking worlds, fostering political, economic and institutional dialogue.
