"We should be the ones to pay homage to IPDAL"

Ambassadors of Peru, Cuba and the Dominican Republic, as well as the Head of State Protocol and the Consultant to the President of the Republic for International Relations, were distinguished with the IPDAL – Vista Alegre award.

On June 28th and July 3rd, the honorees spoke words of great appreciation and recognition for the efforts that IPDAL has made to strengthen relations between Portugal and Latin America.

Ambassador José Augusto Duarte highlighted the fact that the Presidency of the Republic and IPDAL defend the same interest and that it is very easy to work with the Institute.

The Ambassador of the Dominican Republic defended that IPDAL “offers recognition and awards to Latin American Ambassadors. As far as my concierne is concerned, I think that I am the one who has to recognize and reward IPDAL for its invaluable service. I send this thought as a concrete message to the ambassadors who remain with those who sell.”

The Ambassador of Cuba stated that IPDAL is a “permanent, efficient and persistent friend of all Embassies in our region to build bridges, establish and strengthen solid links with the main counterparts in the governmental, political, academic, economic and local government of Portugal”.

The Head of State Protocol welcomed the “effective, attentive, committed and always present” way in which IPDAL carries out its functions, while the Ambassador of Peru considered that, with the Institute, her work was facilitated and enhanced.

The former Vice-Prime Minister of Portugal was also present, praising the ambassadors who finish their missions in Lisbon. Paulo Portas was honored with the IPDAL – Vista Alegre Award in 2014.
