IPDAL and the Ambassadors of Latin America paid tribute to the Oleiros firefighters, who two years ago fought the serious fires in Beira Baixa.

The visit to the Oleiros volunteer fire station took place as part of the trip of the Ambassadors of Latin America, organized by IPDAL and the Municipal Council of Oleiros on the 2nd and 3rd of June 2019. It was a way for the Institute and the diplomatic representatives Latin Americans send a signal of support and solidarity to the women and men who voluntarily dedicate themselves to defending the Portuguese people and territory.

IPDAL and the City Council prepared a program that also included a business forum, where the region’s main economic agents gathered, a formal hearing in the Town Hall, a lunch that brought together the most diverse local actors and several cultural visits.
