Resuming the cycle of official visits to Latin America, Paulo Neves was in Paraguay where he gave lectures at universities on the state of Portugal-Paraguay relations and spoke at a political meeting for hundreds of people in Asunción.

Sharing the stage with Julio Duarte Van Humbeck, Ambassador of Paraguay in Portugal, Paulo Neves spoke about the importance of ties between the two countries to an audience of young diplomats in training.

He also held meetings with Santiago Peña, President of the Republic of Paraguay, and with Horácio Cartes, former President of the country and current President of the Colorado Party, the political party in power.
