For Filipe Domingues, “what we need is to have strong participation by Portuguese companies and institutions in the economic recovery of Venezuela”.
Faced with the drop in exports from Portugal to Venezuela, the Secretary General of IPDAL preferred to draw attention to the need and opportunity for Portuguese companies to take advantage of the historical presence of Portuguese communities on the ground to place themselves at the forefront of actors that will contribute positively to the return of prosperity to Venezuela.

The Institute’s representative also argued that “Portugal, Portuguese institutions, Portuguese banks, credit insurance institutions such as COSEC, for example, must be excited about this aim of not only helping a country that needs to rebuild itself economically, and at the same time be attentive to all the opportunities that will arise for our companies in the area of technological modernization, administrative modernization, in the area of food and basic goods distribution, in the area of energy”.
