In the letter, which was read during the initiative’s Opening Conference, the Portuguese Head of State considered the III Meeting an important initiative, which adds “great value to institutional efforts to deepen relations between Portugal, Europe, Latin America and Africa ”.

The President of the Republic expressed his conviction that the interventions at the III Meeting “will constitute a major contribution so that governments and businesspeople in our countries can identify and explore interests and opportunities on the ground”.

In the same document, it was also highlighted that Latin America and Africa “have become destinations for Portuguese and European companies seeking opportunities to internationalize”.
