The Institute awarded the IPDAL – Vista Alegre Prize to the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Professor Augusto Santos Silva.

At the ceremony, which was attended by dozens of ambassadors from all continents and representatives of international organizations, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the work of IPDAL and highlighted the importance of Latin America for Portuguese parliamentary diplomacy.

The President of IPDAL, Dr. Paulo Neves, valued Santos Silva’s role in bringing the two regions together and in the support given to the Institute in achieving its objectives.
