IPDAL took a delegation of ambassadors from Latin America, on an official visit, to the region of Porto and the North of Portugal.
Between the 16th and 19th of May 2013, a group of Latin American ambassadors and diplomats held a series of institutional, business and cultural contacts in the Douro area. The cities of Porto, Espinho, Vale de Cambra, Arouca, S. João da Madeira and Vila Nova de Gaia were visited. The main moment of contact with companies was the II CGD-IPDAL Business Forum, which brought together more than 500 businesspeople. Read more here.
Some of the most important companies in the region – and even the country – were visited, such as COLEP, belonging to the RAR group, the Port Wine Cellars and unmissable points of Portuguese industrial tourism.
During the four days, Paulo Neves, President of IPDAL, drew the attention of businesspeople and mayors in the North region to the business and partnership opportunities that exist in Latin America. The delegation was received at the main Municipal Chambers in the region and had the opportunity to develop important contacts to achieve their objectives.

This is the sixth consecutive year that IPDAL takes Latin American Ambassadors on an official visit to regions of Portugal. This successful formula, found by the Institute, will continue throughout 2013.
