IPDAL held the ninth edition of the only annual contact platform between Latin America and the CPLP.

This meeting brought together diplomatic representatives from both blocs to discuss joint development potential. Participating were the Ibero-American Deputy Secretary of SEGIB, Ambassador Marcos Pinta Gama, the Director General of CPLP, Ambassador Armindo Brito Fernandes, Ambassadors and diplomats from the two regions and representatives of the private sector, with particular emphasis on Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Confederation CPLP Business.

Nelma Fernandes, President of CE-CPLP, presented the priorities of her mandate while Isabel Soares de Moura, Marketing and Institutional Coordinator at CGD, spoke about how sustainability is one of the pillars of the bank’s operations and its efforts in markets in Africa.
The importance of language and culture as identity factors common to both blocks were also mentioned, as well as the importance of continuing to strengthen ties between these two blocks with a view to a horizontal and win-win .
