IPDAL – Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean welcomed a delegation from Paraguay’s Institute for Advanced Strategic Studies (IAEE) at the Grémio Literário, for a meeting dedicated to presenting the Institute’s work and exchanging experiences and perspectives on contemporary strategic challenges.

The session began with welcoming remarks by Ambassador Raúl Silvero and Colonel Pedro Argüello, IAEE Coordinator, who provided context for the visit and highlighted the importance of strengthening ties and fostering dialogue between institutions dedicated to strategic reflection.

During the meeting, Paulo Neves, President of IPDAL, presented the Institute’s mission, main areas of activity and strategic priorities, highlighting its work in promoting relations between Portugal, Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the growing importance of initiatives aimed at bringing the region closer to Europe and Africa.

The delegation also had the opportunity to learn about some of IPDAL’s main projects, initiatives and activities, ranging from platforms for political and diplomatic dialogue to business meetings, cooperation initiatives and forums dedicated to addressing key issues on the international agenda.

The meeting also included a session for dialogue and the exchange of perspectives among participants, providing an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and identify areas of common interest between IPDAL and IAEE.

The reception of the Paraguayan delegation underscored the importance of institutional cooperation, dialogue and knowledge sharing as instruments for strengthening ties between Portugal and Latin America and promoting joint reflection on the political, economic and strategic challenges shaping the current international landscape.
