IPDAL and EU-LAC Foundation formalized their partnership, signing a memorandum committing to carry out joint initiatives.

The document was signed by the President of IPDAL, Paulo Neves, and the Executive Director of the Foundation, Paola Amadei, in the presence of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Teresa Ribeiro.

On April 20th, at the beginning of the conference “I Forum Caribbean & Portugal: Unveiling Opportunities”, the two institutions formalized the agreement where they agree to develop activities that strengthen the relationship between Latin America and the Caribbean and Europe.

The memorandum foresees the specific dedication of efforts to the promotion of the Caribbean in Portugal, through concrete initiatives. We remind you that IPDAL changed its statutes, changing its name to the Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The EU-LAC Foundation is the privileged intergovernmental body for dialogue between the European Union and countries in the LAC region, which is expected to be confirmed as an International Organization in the coming months, and has already participated in IPDAL activities for several years.
