The President and Secretary General of the Institute were received, in audience, by Professor Aníbal Cavaco Silva.

On May 16th, the former President of the Republic of Portugal received Paulo Neves and Filipe Domingues at the Convento do Sacramento.

IPDAL leaders presented IPDAL’s most recent activities and expressed their desire to continue to count on the support and enthusiasm of the former President of the Republic.

For around thirty minutes, views were also exchanged on international politics, namely on the current political and economic situation in Latin America, and on national politics.

The Sacramento Convent is where Professor Aníbal Cavaco Silva has his office, as former Head of State of Portugal. The original monastery dates back to the 17th century and today belongs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
