Iberoamerican Secretary General Rebeca Grynspan was part of the initiative co-organized by IPDAL and SEGIB to promote the XXV Summit of Heads of State and Government.
On October 11, 2016, the Institute and the international organization that brings together all the countries of Latin America, Portugal, Spain and Andorra promoted a meeting between the Ibero-American Secretary General and the ambassadors of these countries and a group of Portuguese personalities.
In front of some of the main Portuguese companies and institutions, in addition to a group of journalists, invited by IPDAL, the former Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations and former Vice-President of Costa Rica presented the theme and mission of the Summit that will take place in Colombia.
The theme of the meeting is Youth, Entrepreneurship and Education. The Secretary-General declared that the mobility of talent, researchers and teachers, as well as inter-business mobility must receive a new boost, as they are fundamental to the creation of a region with more opportunities and economic growth.
On the occasion, Rebeca Grynspan also congratulated the Ambassador of Colombia for awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to President Juan Manuel Santos, having spoken in favor of the Peace Agreement reached between the Government of Bogotá and the FARC.
The XXV Iberoamerican Summit will take place on the 28th and 29th of October, in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. In addition to the presence of the President of the Portuguese Republic, the event will also feature the presence of Engineer António Guterres, recently elected Secretary-General of the UN.
