IPDAL praised at the IV Latin American Sunset Party

The head of Cabinet of the Vice-Prime Minister of Portugal considered that the State and Government are more effective thanks to institutions such as IPDAL.

On July 22nd, the Institute held the IV Latin American Sunset Party, in Zambezi, and honored Dr. Madalena Fischer with the IPDAL – Vista Alegre Award. The diplomat, who will occupy the position of Ambassador of Portugal in Cairo, was distinguished for her role in bringing Portugal closer to Latin America and for the support provided to the IPDAL mission.

It was the fourth time that IPDAL organized this reception for the diplomatic corps, members of the government, deputies, businesspeople, academics, journalists and Friends of the Institute, in an event co-organized with Visabeira Turismo and Restaurante Zambeze and sponsored by the insurance company CBK, the Sotheby’s, CarClasse and also Morgadio da Calçada wines.

The Embassies of Latin America once again joined the event, offering typical drinks from each country and decorating the space with traditional crafts.

The Government of Portugal insisted on being represented, through the Deputy Undersecretary of State of the Vice Prime Minister, as well as the Prime Minister’s office and other members of ministerial offices, numerous Ambassadors and diplomats from Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia .

In her acceptance speech for the IPDAL-Vista Alegre award, Dr. Madalena Fischer praised the work carried out by IPDAL in bringing Portugal closer to Latin America, highlighting that the existence of institutions like IPDAL is necessary to boost and enhance relations between Portugal and the region.

IPDAL’s work was also highlighted by TAP, which took the opportunity to offer an award to the President of the Institute, reinforcing its importance in approaching Latin America.
