The President and Secretary General of the Institute signed the Israeli Embassy’s book of condolences on the death of the country’s former President and Prime Minister.

Paulo Neves and Filipe Domingues expressed the Institute’s deepest regret at the disappearance of an unavoidable figure in the history of the 20th century and a tireless agent of Peace, in what has been one of the most sensitive areas of the World.

The Institute’s leaders expressed the desire that Shimon Peres’ legacy remain alive in the decisions of Israeli and Palestinian leaders and in the collective memory of their people.

The funeral of the Nobel Peace Prize winner was attended by dozens of Heads of State and Senior Figures from around the world, including the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.
