The First Lady of Portugal visited the Institute’s stand, at the 30th edition of the Diplomatic Corps Bazaar.
On the 21st and 22nd of November 2014, IPDAL joined, for the first time, the annual solidarity initiative, in which embassies resident in Lisbon participate. IPDAL brought together the diplomatic representations of Uruguay and Cuba.
At the Lisbon Congress Center, the Institute promoted typical products, food, drinks, crafts and various materials from these countries. IPDAL also obtained sponsorship from Portuguese stores and artists, having built a multicultural space that was visited by hundreds of people.
Promoted by the Association of Families of Portuguese Diplomats, and with the High Patronage of Dr. Maria Cavaco Silva, the Bazaar was attended by around 30 Embassies accredited in Portugal, with the Autonomous Region of the Azores and also with a space for the European Observatory of Drugs and Drug Addiction.
The presence of IPDAL reinforced the commitment to the cultural promotion of Latin America, as well as to fair causes of solidarity, since the revenue obtained from sales went to institutions that support needy and homeless people.
