The President and Secretary General of IPDAL signed, at the Venezuelan Embassy, the book of condolences on the death of President Hugo Chávez.

This gesture took place after sending the following letter, addressed to Ambassador Lucas Rincón:

“Your Excellency
Ambassador Lucas Rincón,
Dear friend,

It is with great regret that we address this Note of condolences on the passing of President Hugo Chávez.

At IPDAL, we received this tragic news with great consternation and we join the Venezuelan people in mourning and paying homage to the Commander, who always demonstrated sincere friendship towards Portugal and the Portuguese.

For history, the image and memory of a fearless leader, who fought incessantly for his people and their ideals, remain.

Your Excellency Mr Ambassador,
You know you can always count on the Friendship and Support of the Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America.
