IPDAL received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, who was on an official visit to Lisbon.

On May 11, the President and Secretary General of the Institute met with the person responsible for Guatemalan foreign policy. It was Carlos Raul Morales’ first meeting on this visit to Portugal. At Grémio Literário, they talked about the bilateral relationship and specific initiatives to strengthen ties, at the highest level, between the two countries. It was agreed that IPDAL will continue to promote Guatemala in Portugal, carrying out actions together with the Embassy resident in Paris and the Honorary Consulate in Lisbon.

After the meeting with IPDAL, a networking initiative took place with companies interested in the Guatemalan market. The Secretary General of the Institute was also invited by the Consul to dinner and lunch with the Minister.

It is worth remembering that, in 2014, IPDAL held Guatemala Day, where it organized business, institutional, academic and cultural initiatives.
