Following the terrorist attacks of November 13th, the President of IPDAL sent a Note of Condolences to the French Ambassador in Lisbon. Read the Note in full.
SIR
Ambassador Jean François-Blarel
My Dear Friend,
Faced with the act of unforgivable cruelty that occurred on the 13th in the city of Paris, the Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America (IPDAL) demonstrates the deepest indignation and total solidarity with the State and the Population of France.
IPDAL strongly condemns this cowardly, unjustifiable and intolerable act of terrorism, while at the same time sending its deepest condolences to the families of all the victims. We are united by the same values and causes – more than ever, the maintenance of peace and the fight against terrorism – and we consider this vile attack an aggression against the fundamental principles of our civilization. As a community of values, based on tolerance and respect, we cannot allow the terrorist objective of spreading fear in our societies to be achieved and we are certain that the French nation will know how to follow, as it has done so many times in the past, the path of peace and freedom.
Hon. Mr Ambassador
accept my best regards,
