IPDAL document in the national press

The report “How can Latin America represent 5% of Portuguese exports?” was highlighted in several foreign media.

The EFE agency, La Expansión and El Economista published statements by the Secretary General of IPDAL explaining the importance of the document which aims to contribute to the doubling of Portuguese exports to the region. The Institute representative argued that Portuguese communities in countries like Brazil or Venezuela “are essential for us to have competitive advantages and access knowledge that many of our competitors do not have. It’s a way to differentiate ourselves, especially from the United States and China.”

Filipe Domingues drew attention to the importance of achieving the long-awaited agreement between the European Union and Mercosur, concluding that “Latin American countries have in Portugal and Spain their most valid, relevant and reliable interlocutor in all multilateral negotiations with the EU”
