IPDAL suggested to SEGIB, taking into account the guidelines issued at the recent Cádiz Summit, to create a Reflection Group in Lisbon on the future of the organization.
The debate was opened by the Summit of Heads of State and Government. IPDAL considers it useful, opportune and fair for suggestions to come from Portugal on the future of the Ibero-American General Secretariat. All members of the Reflection Group are, naturally, free to express their opinions and suggestions. All will be sent in the final Policy Paper. The document will be delivered to D. Enrique Iglesias – General Secretary of SEGIB – at the end of April. The President of IPDAL will be the coordinator of the Group. The reflection group includes former Minister of Foreign Affairs Luís Amado, academics, businesspeople and diplomats.
