IPDAL co-organized, with the Colombian Embassy, the Business Forum “Colombia, Country of Opportunities”, an initiative led by President Iván Duque and held in Lisbon on June 27th.

The outgoing President highlighted in his intervention that Colombia is the second largest destination for Portuguese investment in Latin America, surpassed only by Brazil, and made it clear that the country will always have its doors open to the Portuguese, who contributed to the economic growth recorded in nation creating several jobs.

Duque also highlighted the potential for tourism investments in Colombia and announced the creation of the Colombia – Portugal Strategic Council, which will meet annually to discuss trade between the two countries.

The initiative was attended by high-level guests, such as ambassadors, the President of ProColombia, leaders of Professional Orders, representatives of large Portuguese companies and other prominent personalities in the country.
