In a ceremony attended by diplomats from all over the world, Ambassador Mário Vilalva was honored with the IPDAL-Vista Alegre award.
On September 28, 2016, at Grémio Literário, the Ambassador of Brazil thanked the award offered by IPDAL and Vista Alegre and highlighted the strong ties that unite Brazil and Portugal, “two brotherly countries” according to the diplomat.
Mário Vilalva also spoke of the great investment opportunities in Brazil, highlighting that they deserve to be explored and deepened by the Portuguese. According to the diplomat who was head of the Brazilian representation in Lisbon for six years, the linguistic and cultural proximity between the two countries makes it easier to implement Portuguese projects in the Latin American country.
Ambassador Mário Vilalva was distinguished for the professionalism and friendship with which he always collaborated with IPDAL, as well as for the excellence of the work carried out in strengthening relations between Brazil and Portugal.
The tribute was attended by several Ambassadors and diplomats from Latin America, a representative of the President of the Republic, the Ambassadors of Israel, Equatorial Guinea, Switzerland, Sweden, diplomats from Cape Verde, Mozambique, Andorra, members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sponsors, members and Friends of IPDAL.
