The President of IPDAL is part of the delegation for TAP’s inaugural flight, which connects Lisbon to Bogotá and Panama City for the first time.
In Latin America, TAP will now fly not only to Brazil – where it already has 10 destinations – and Venezuela, but also to Colombia and Panama.
For Paulo Neves, President of IPDAL “this is a big bet for TAP, in particular, but mainly for Portugal. We will be linked to Colombia, which is one of the four largest economies in Latin America and a country with great economic growth. In recent years, more than 40 Portuguese companies have set up shop in Colombia. The business dynamics are enormous”, added Paulo Neves.
It is worth remembering that IPDAL has already carried out several business missions to both Panama and Colombia, the last one taking place last June. The Central American country “is the largest international air logistics hub in all of Latin America”.
“TAP demonstrates that it is indeed a large airline, which knows how to take advantage of Portugal’s strategic and central Atlantic position, taking advantage of Portugal’s natural hub between Latin America-Europe-Africa”, stated Paulo Neves.
It should also be noted that TAP is one of the sponsors of IPDAL
