IPDAL at CAF Annual Conference

The President of IPDAL was invited to participate in the Annual Conference of the Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) – Development Bank of Latin America, which took place on the 3rd and 4th of September, in Washington. At the Conference, several topics were debated: “Cuba at the Crossroads: What to Expect?”, “Elections and Political Developments in Latin America: Focus on Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay and Venezuela”, “Keynote Addres on the future of Haiti”, “Latin American Economic Outlook: Is the Party Over”, “Keynote Address: Latin America´s Regional Process of Integration ang Global Insertion”, “Hemispheric Challenges 20 Years After the First Summit of the Americas”.

The Conference was chaired by Enrique García (CAF President) and was attended by, among others, José Miguel Insulza (Secretary General of the Organization of American States), Michael Shifter (President of the Inter-American Dalogue), Felipe Calderón (former President of Mexico), Enrique Iglesias (former Secretary General of SEGIB and former President of the IDB), Marco Aurélio Garcia (Diplomatic Deputy of Brazil), Martín Torrijos (former President of Panama), etc.

The President of IPDAL, on the sidelines of the work, maintained contacts with Enrique Iglesias, the Secretary General of the Organization of American States and the President of CAF.
