The President of IPDAL was invited to the State Banquet, offered by the President of the Portuguese Republic to the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos.

The dinner took place at the Ajuda National Palace, in Lisbon, and marked the end of the Colombian Head of State’s state visit to Portugal.
Paulo Neves was present on behalf of IPDAL. For the President of the Institute, “the visit of the President of Colombia served to reinforce the excellent economic, diplomatic and cultural ties that have been solidifying between the two countries”. Also according to Paulo Neves “Colombia is a strategic partner for Portugal, it should be on our country’s radar”. The President of Colombia was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. IPDAL was represented at the ceremony by the General Secretary, Filipe Domingues
