II Strategic Triangle Meeting Latin America-Europe-Africa

IPDAL organized the Meeting “Strategic Triangle Latin America – Europe – Africa”, in partnership with the Ibero-American Secretary General. This initiative took place on the 11th and 12th of April, in Lisbon, and was attended by several dozen Ambassadors and Diplomats from the various embassies of these three continents, accredited in Portugal.

Latin America-Europe-Africa” had the High Patronage of the President of the Republic.

The General Secretary of SEGIB Enrique Iglesias praised the initiative and the role of IPDAL in the triangulation of the three continents. Paulo Neves, President of IPDAL, informed that Enrique Iglesias will from now on be Honorary President of the Strategic Triangle Meetings.

Among the speakers and speakers were the presence of the Deputy Secretary of State of the Deputy Minister and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Feliciano Barreiras Duarte; the Former Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Dr. Luís Amado; the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Luís Brites Pereira; the Secretary of State for Agriculture, Dr. José Diogo Albuquerque; Representatives of numerous institutions and companies also spoke, such as Accenture, Caixa-Geral de Depósitos, Porto de Sines, Prébuild, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Real Instituto Elcano, the protempore presidencies of the Council of Europe and CELAC. The General Director of CPLP, Dr. Hélder Vaz, the Mayor of Funchal, Dr. Miguel Albuquerque, as well as representatives from Instituto Camões, AIP, LIDE, Domínio Capital, Plataforma para o Crescimento, Luso-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Luso-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce.

The work was closed by the General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the work, the study “Triangulation in the Atlantic Space”, prepared by Accenture, was presented. The General Secretary of IPDAL, Filipe Domingues, presented the conclusions of the Policy Paper of the 1st Meeting, which took place last year.

The work of the II Meeting was divided between the Official Opening, the Opening Conference and the Plenary Session of the Countries of Latin America, Europe and Africa. The second day was filled with a Plenary Session dedicated to companies and institutions, ending with the intervention of the President of IPDAL and the General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Participants in the Plenary Session of the Countries of Latin America, Europe and Africa were: South Africa, Andorra, Angola, Algeria, Argentina, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, France, Equatorial Guinea, Peru, Venezuela, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, East Timor, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uruguay. Cyprus, Georgia, Moldova, the Netherlands and the United States of America also participated in the meeting.

IPDAL organized the Meeting “Strategic Triangle Latin America – Europe – Africa”, in association with the Ibero-American General Secretariat.

This initiative took place on the 11th and 12th of April, in Lisbon, and was attended by several decades of Ambassadors and Diplomats from different embassies from these three continents, accredited in Portugal. The closure is in charge of the Señora General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the days I was presented with the study “La triangulación en el Espacio Atlántico”, prepared by Accenture.
