On the Institute’s 16th anniversary, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation left words of encouragement for IPDAL.

Francisco André praised the role that the Institute plays in bringing Portugal closer to Latin American countries and in expanding its activity to the European and African continents, both in the economic, diplomatic and academic spheres.
During the reception for the diplomatic corps, which took place on January 27, 2022, at Grémio Literário, the President of IPDAL took the opportunity to present the Institute’s activity plan and main lines of action for the next year. Paulo Neves stated that the Institute is “increasingly global and will continue to establish new bridges with the regions and countries that are of most interest to Portugal, Portuguese institutions and companies”.

Although with a limited call, due to the health restrictions in force, dozens of ambassadors from countries in Latin America, Europe and Africa, representatives of international organizations, Portuguese sovereign bodies, companies and Friends of IPDAL were present.
