IPDAL discussed transformations in the global order, with Paulo Portas, António Martins da Cruz, Manuel Rodríguez Cuadros and Felipe Pathé Duarte.

Topics such as the ‘Cold War’ between the United States and China, the role of the European Union in the post-Covid world, the economic crisis in Latin America, African commercial integration, the enlargement of NATO and Russia’s response, or the political challenges in Spain and consequences for Portugal.

Paulo Portas was Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Defense of Portugal. António Martins da Cruz was Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador of Portugal to the UN, NATO and in Madrid. Manuel Rodríguez Cuadros was Minister of Foreign Affairs, candidate for President of the Republic of Peru, Ambassador to International Organizations in Geneva, Bolivia and to UNESCO. Felipe Pathé Duarte is a university professor, researcher in international relations and consultant on security and defense issues.

The initiative also had the support and participation of Professor Bruno Ferreira Costa, as well as students of Political Science and International Relations from the University of Beira Interior.
