IPDAL co-organized the inauguration of the V Argentine Cinema Festival.
The initiative has been supported since the first edition by the Institute, which has already brought some of the most awarded South American directors to Portugal.
The inauguration took place on June 19th, at Grémio Literário, being the result of a partnership between IPDAL and VAIVEM. In a welcome statement, the President of the Institute made a point of highlighting the irreplaceable importance that cultural proximity assumes in the connection between Portugal and Latin America, with Paulo Neves adding that Argentine cinema is one of the vehicles with the most brilliant notoriety and visibility to strengthen these relationships.

The ceremony was also attended by the Ambassador of Argentina, Oscar Moscariello, and the Councilor for Culture of the Lisbon City Council, Catarina Vaz Pinto, among several Latin American and European ambassadors and diplomats.
The inauguration of the festival concluded with the screening of a short film, And now let us praise the films, at Grémio Literário, and an Argentine dinner at the El Bulo restaurant.
This year, the AR Festival premieres in Porto, from the 28th to the 30th at Cinema Trindade. In Lisbon, it takes place from the 20th to the 23rd of June, at Cinema São Jorge.
